Vitamin Therapy

At our clinic, Dr. Nancy offers custom tailored mixtures to offer distinct benefits, from improving Energy to supporting Weight Loss. Our Vitamin Therapy of supplements, vitamins and minerals may provide immediate results, delivered to your body through IV therapy or intramuscular Vitamin Shots for the highest efficacy and bioavailability.

Oral supplementation can only be given in small doses and is absorbed by the stomach which may allow only 20% absorption. IV therapy administers vitamins and minerals directly into the blood stream at higher doses, offering increased cell absorption and 100% bioavailability. Typically benefits are felt within 30-45 minutes and last up to 1 month.

If you’re getting blood drawn, you’re one big step closer to IV therapy. Supplementing your blood draw with an IV is a good way to try IV therapy without any extra sticks.

Many physical symptoms can be attributed to dehydration or a vitamin deficiency. These symptoms can be amplified during a weight loss program. By maintaining an adequate micronutrient intake through IV therapy, patients are able to maintain adequate energy, metabolism, immunity, mood, hair and nail growth as they reach their weight loss goals. The importance of hydration is often stated and often ignored. During dehydration, fluid loss makes it harder for your body to operate at its full potential. Your body is approximately 70% water and it relies on that water to maintain its cells, tissues, organs and other bodily functions. Fluids assist in converting food into energy, support the biological healing process, and serve as a natural blood thinner to ease blood flow throughout the body. Enjoy instant hydration with an IV.

Enjoy preventative therapy treatments on a weekly or monthly basis. Some see significant benefits from autoimmune or other chronic conditions with weekly visits. Ask our clinic which treatment and how often may be right for you.

Vitamin Therapy FAQ

What is the Most Popular Shot and Why?

Our FatBurner shot is the most popular vitamin therapy we offer. It’s a quick way to get an energy boost and support weight loss goals. Most people add this to their follow-up appointments for an extra boost.

What is the Difference Between an IV, Push and a Shot?

IV is an abbreviation for “intravenous”. To administer IV Therapy, a small plastic tube known as a catheter is inserted into a vein using a needle. This is the same process as getting blood drawn for diagnostic testing. Our staff will then custom mix your IV, consisting of 250-1000 ml of fluid with a mixture of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. The intravenous route is the fastest way to deliver fluids and vitamins throughout the body with 100% absorption into the bloodstream.

An IV Push is infused directly into the bloodstream via a plastic catheter that is inserted into the vein. IV Pushes are done with a 60 cc syringe allowing a quick 10-15 min administration. You still get 100% absorption via an IV Push.

A Vitamin Shot is an injection that delivers vitamins intramuscularly, directly into the gluteal or deltoid muscle. The dosage of vitamins are smaller volumes in comparison to an IV. The absorption is nearly equal to that of IV.

How Long Does an IV Take?

Treatments usually take 20-40 min depending on the individual.

How Long Do Benefits Last?

Benefits vary depending on the individual. Generally, the vitamins delivered by IV Therapy remain in your system for 2-3 weeks with some up to a month.

A Vitamin shot is equivalent to taking one week’s worth of oral vitamin supplements.

How Often Should I Have an IV?

The frequency of IV therapy is determined on an individual basis. For preventative health and wellness, we recommend two IV’s per month.

How Do I Choose the Right IV for Me?

Check our Advanced Specialty Testing for information about getting your full micronutrient lab panel performed. Micronutrient tests are able to better determine how often a person should be receiving treatments.

Are There Side Effects or Contraindications?

Caution is advised in those with known congestive heart failure, renal failure, or liver disease.

People that have G6PD deficiency, also known as Favism, should not receive IV high dose Vitamin C because it can cause hemolytic anemia. Favism most commonly affects people of African, Middle Eastern and South Asian descent.

Dr. Nancy will consult with you prior to treatment.
