Does IV Therapy Promote Weight Loss? Benefits & Why

Does IV Therapy Promote Weight Loss? Benefits & Why

Vitamin therapy is ideal for those seeking to be proactive in their health and feel their best while staying ahead of the aging process. Even if you eat all the right foods, getting enough vitamins and minerals is almost impossible. Intravenous therapy can provide 100% of the vitamins and nutrients your body needs!

IV Therapy for Weight Loss

Many people are deficient in vitamins due to their lifestyle, dietary requirements or preferences, and poor gut health that prevents the body from properly pulling micronutrients from their food.

These deficiencies may make it more difficult to lose weight or sustain a low carb diet without feeling under the weather. Having IV therapy during weight loss can help expedite the process and improve overall feelings of wellbeing throughout the weight loss journey.

At Dr. Nancy’s clinic we offer a “Fat Burner Shot”, this combination of essential amino acids, B12 and carnitine may quickly boost carbohydrate metabolism, increase energy and curb food cravings. Weekly injections provide the best results and help many reach their weight loss goals while maintaining a sustainable lifestyle.

Why IV Therapy?

Oral supplementation can only be given in small doses and is absorbed by the stomach which may allow only 20% absorption. IV therapy administers vitamins and minerals directly into the blood stream at higher doses, offering increased cell absorption and 100% bioavailability. Typically, benefits are felt within 30-45 minutes and last up to 1 month.

Did you know?

Many physical symptoms can be attributed to dehydration or a vitamin deficiency. These symptoms can be amplified during a weight loss program. By maintaining an adequate micronutrient intake through IV therapy, patients can maintain adequate energy, metabolism, immunity, mood, hair and nail growth as they reach their weight loss goals. The importance of hydration is often stated and often ignored. During dehydration, fluid loss makes it harder for your body to operate at its full potential. Your body is approximately 70% water, and it relies on that water to maintain its cells, tissues, organs and other bodily functions. Fluids assist in converting food into energy, support the biological healing process, and serve as a natural blood thinner to ease blood flow throughout the body. Enjoy instant hydration with an IV.

How often should I do this?

Enjoy preventative therapy treatments on a weekly or monthly basis. Some see significant benefits from autoimmune or other chronic conditions with weekly visits. Ask our clinic which treatment and how often it may be right for you.

Why Vitamin Shots?

Vitamin shots offer fast treatment times when an IV isn’t an option. Get a whole weeks’ worth of vitamins in a single dose. Vitamin shots administer vitamins and minerals directly into the blood stream at higher doses, offering increased cell absorption and 100% bioavailability. Vitamin shot treatments typically less than 5 minutes. A Vitamin shot is equivalent to taking one week’s worth of oral vitamin supplements.

What is the Difference Between an IV, Push and a Shot?

1. IV is an abbreviation for “intravenous”. To administer IV Therapy, a small plastic tube known as a catheter is inserted into a vein using a needle. This is the same process as getting blood drawn for diagnostic testing. Our staff will then custom mix your IV, consisting of 250-1000 ml of fluid with a mixture of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. The intravenous route is the fastest way to deliver fluids and vitamins throughout the body with 100% absorption into the bloodstream.

2. An IV Push is infused directly into the bloodstream via a plastic catheter that is inserted into the vein. IV Pushes are done with a 60 cc syringe allowing a quick 10-15 min administration. You still get 100% absorption via an IV Push.

3. A Vitamin Shot is an injection that delivers vitamins intramuscularly, directly into the gluteal or deltoid muscle. The dosage of vitamins are smaller volumes in comparison to an IV. The absorption is nearly equal to that of IV.

Benefits vary depending on the individual. Generally, the vitamins delivered by IV Therapy remain in your system for 2-3 weeks with some up to a month.
